A Lexicological Approach to Look-up Frequency of Turkish Sign Language Dictionary Users

From the point of lexicography, phenomenon dictionary look-up frequencies can answer many critical questions on users’ needs and relationship between corpus data tendencies. Although there have been a number studies theoretical functional aspects in field spoken language to date, remain relatively few attempts describe characteristics behaviour sign languages. This paper investigates frequency list Turkish Sign Language Corpus The Contemporary occurrences. By using an approach comparison log files, results demonstrate that is very limited similarities both them no positive relation for percentage top ranked items. Moreover, this corpus-based lexicography study concludes objective based-frequency comparatively poor predictor difference might be direct result morphological structure words/signs TİD (rather simultaneous realization) compared agglutinative morphology).
